Where are your pieces made?
Everything is designed and made by hand in Auckland, New Zealand.

What is deadstock?
Deadstock is surplus fabric that would otherwise go unused. Working with it means many pieces are made from a limited find, which is why we produce in small runs and may not restock a fabric once it’s gone.

Will my piece look exactly like the photos?
We photograph each piece as accurately as we can, but colour can vary between screens. Slight differences in fabric texture and shade are part of working with deadstock.

Will you restock sold-out pieces?
Often we can’t, as the fabric may no longer be available, but we may re-run a design in new colour-ways. Join our mailing list to hear first about new releases.

Size offering
Pieces are graded and fitted in the current size range, currently limited. If you would like a different size, please reach out to ansellclothing.nz@gmail.com and I would be happy to create a piece that fits.

Where do you ship?
We ship within New Zealand with NZ Post. If you would like to purchase from overseas, you are welcome to send us an email and we can try our best to accomodate.

How much is shipping?
Flat rate of $7 within NZ, $15 for rural delivery.

How long will my order take?
We aim to ship made-to-order pieces within two weeks. In stock orders leave our studio within 3 to 5 business days. You’ll receive tracking by email once it’s on its way.

What if my piece arrives faulty or damaged?
Email us with your order number and photos. Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act always apply, and we cover return shipping for faulty items.

Can I return or exchange a piece?
Yes. Contact us within 7 days of delivery at ansellclothing.nz@gmail.com. Pieces must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is covered by the customer.

Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us as soon as possible at ansellclothing.nz@gmail.com. If your order hasn’t been made or dispatched, we’ll do our best to help.

How can I contact you?
Email ansellclothing.nz@gmail.com, and we usually reply within 1 to 2 business days.

Can I request a piece not in the shop or custom?
Some pieces from our collections appear in the gallery only and aren’t listed in the shop. If one caught your eye, email us with the piece name and your measurements. We’ll let you know whether we can make it, how long it will take, and the price.

Will you make a piece in a different fabric or colour?
Absolutely, as long as the fabric request applies to the design. For example, a lightweight merino would not be suitable for a coat. Feel free to send over an email, and we will be happy to provide material options. When it is a custom colour or material, we are not able to offer change of mind returns.
